In the year 1967 a Distillery unit was added to produce industrial alcohol from sugarcane molasses, having a capacity of 65,000 liters/day, mainly for exports. Messrs Spechim Limited, France, supplied the machinery and equipment for the Distillery. The division has over the years contributed handsomely to the profitability of the company, besides boosting its exports. The current capacity is 135,000 litres a day.
